I got into a random pug group with consumables and we did it first time. I'm sure it is hard for many, but doing it first time with random pugs proves it's not impossible or ridiculously challenging.

Shouldn't the final mission be hard, and shouldn't a game test your skills? For the first time, people might have to actual get in a full human group and stop running discord way. Wow, shock horror.

Funny you should mention that because my party had two sins (including me) and I had monks and eles scoff and immediately leave, leaving useful comments like "two sins... really?".

My team was me(critscythe), crit barrage, splinter barrage, nuker, resto/channeling hero rit, ua monk. I've already done this mission 2x before and the this time was the easiest out of all of them. We sniped at ledge, flagged heroes to the edge of the ledge out of arrow sight and waited at the stairs for the second portion of the fight. Let me just say that splinter weapon devastated everything considering our team setup and the mobs never made it even into the center plaza.

Personally, I look foreward to doing it on my sin. Even without splinter or any buffs from other classes, a sin buffed with critical agility and defense spamming DB+MS tends to blow stuff up very quickly. Not sure on crit scythe, however I'd think dagger would have the advantage since DB+MS isn't limited to 3 targets.

The quest is actually rather easier, I did it with a PUG the other day.
No MM and only 1 Monk who was running ZB (lol). Not sure how we manged to beat it but we did, mind you we also wiped a few times.
I tried multiple times with H/H but wiped every time. Did it the 1st time with the PUG.

Quest frustrated me as well. Tried to H/H it the first time like any other Master's quest, but soon realized that was not the smartest idea.

Been awhile since I've done a PuG, but we got it the first time. SoS Rit, Resto Rit, Imbagon, Trap Ranger, Panic Mesmer, and myself as a Splinter Barrager. I died a few times, but I'm guessing that cause I was pulling the most threat. Otherwise, we did very well. Never been happier in a PuG.

Strangly enough the sin and ranger are the hardest to get a group for, just was in LA US dis1 and both my ranger and sin did not get any group. Must be my name I guess
Well gonna try again tonight, still need it with my 100b warrior, ranger and sin.

Guildmates and I did it yesterday, it's not too horrible (though we did use consumables). It really, really helps to have barragers and a mesmer. The rest is countered by putting a lot of minions/spirits out to absorb damage. In other words, nothing too different than standard PvE tactics, you just have to bring a lot more AoE.

lol gotta love it

that's what I love about gw.. it's a grief game to depending on your skill

like still remember in pvp killing a necro named el deo in like 4 seconds because he was so bad.. all I said was 'el deado' and you would have thought he had tourettes

this can be done with no cons.. panic mesmer shuts down the ball- and what xaiq said above is perfect to ball them up.. spirit wall with a mm to hold and bunch on the bridge

*aye nologic beat me to it =]

If you have a sin, use barrage build. Gwen with panic = massive shutdown.

I wouldn't consider this quest omg wtf insanely difficult, but I can understand why people using full H/H parties are complaining. Maybe Anet could buff the henchmen to what they are in HM just for this quest? I seriously doubt it would make that much of a difference, but at least the people that choose to H/H can attempt the quest without feeling like they are missing 2 people.

A friend and I did it the other night with our heroes. It got a little iffy a couple of times when we got overwhelmed (um... pwnt) by jade cloaks, but we managed to complete the quest on the first try. I think every jade cloak we got had the sandstorm or savannah heat bar and we only had one healer.

There was absolutely no preperation before we went in. We didn't even use cons. We simply loaded the usual heroes we've been dragging around for pretty much everything lately and went in. It probably wasn't the most optimal party we could have put together for this, but it got the job done and that's all that really matters!

Yeah seriously what's the point in having two level 10 henchmen, they could easily just make them level 20 when you activate the quest.

Really a Panic mesmer and an AoTL necromancer can handle this well.

PvE players that complain about PvE being too hard are always amusing.

As guru has proven time and time again.

Honestly the only reason I come to this forum is for the lulz.

Did it with Sabway and the lvl 10 hero's first, didn't work out. Did it with 2 monks a Barrage ranger, nuker ele, Panic mes, and SY war as myself. Went through it pretty easily. Only had 1 death of the mes, other then that no problems at all.

This actually sounds fun. I might actually do that really, really long mission that was added a few weeks ago so I can give this a whirl.

Not really complaining but really having 2 level 10 henchmen for this is a joke as I said they could easily just have upgraded them to 20 when you start the quest or dump them completely.

And for the record I did do it with the henchmen and no consumables, so I'm only "complaining" about the silliness of the level 10 henchies.
